1Is the plot of land freehold?
Yes.
2Will I receive proof of ownership after purchase of a plot of land?
Yes, a Certificate of Ownership will be provided.
3At a later date, is my land fully transferrable to another party, and if so, is the resale price fixed?
Yes, it can be freely transferred, and no, there is no fixed resale price.
4Can ownership of the land also be registered with the UK Land Registry?
Yes, but this only optional, since the land is already legally in your ownership.
5Can the land be visited?
Yes, but only during daylight, since the Walled Garden is locked for security reasons at night.
6How can the land be used?
Objects and the like can be buried in the ground under the plot of land, however, nothing can be erected on the land because the grass on the land needs to be maintained.
7Who will maintain the land?
We have appointed a maintenance company to maintain the whole of the Walled Garden, at no cost to the owner of the plots of land.
8How will the land be maintained?
The Walled Garden will be kept grassed, and the grass cut regularly during the growing season of March to October.
9Are there any ownership expenses or costs after the plot of land is purchased (annual or otherwise)?
No.
10Are there any government or state taxes due after the plot of land is purchased (annual or otherwise) such as VAT, stamp duty, transfer tax or council tax?
No.
11On purchase of a plot of land, am I entitled to use the title Squire Lilford, and to use the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
Yes, you will be granted a right by law for such use.
12Will I receive after purchase of a plot of land any proof of right to use the title Squire Lilford and use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
Yes, a Certificate of Entitlement will be provided.
13Is the title Squire Lilford and use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms fully transferrable to another party, and if so, is the resale price fixed?
Yes, they are freely transferred, and no, there is no fixed resale price.
14Is the plot of land transferrable to another party separately from the title Squire Lilford and use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
Yes.
15Is the title Squire Lilford transferrable separately from use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
No, since they are rights granted by law together.
16Will the Honour Roll of all Squire Lilford's be public?
Yes (although any Squire Lilford has option not to be listed).
17How long will it take to restore The Lilford Estate?
The present estimate is 5 years.
18How will proceeds from the plot of land sales be used?
It is intended that all the funds received will be used solely for the restoration of The Lilford Estate.
19How will The Lilford Estate be used in future?
Present intention is to place the Estate into a Charitable Trust to secure the long term future and conservation of the Estate.
20On purchase of a plot of land, am I entitled to use the title Founder Pilgrim, and to use the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
Yes, you will be granted a right by law for such use.
21Will I receive after purchase of a plot of land any proof of right to use the title Founder Pilgrim and use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
Yes, a Certificate of Entitlement will be provided.
22Is the title Founder Pilgrim and use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms fully transferrable to another party, and if so, is the resale price fixed?
Yes, they are freely transferred, and no, there is no fixed resale price.
23Is the plot of land transferrable to another party separately from the title Founder Pilgrim and use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
Yes.
24Is the title Founder Pilgrim transferrable separately from use of the Lilford Hall Coat of Arms?
No, since they are rights granted by law together.
